Birch Tree

Some species of birch trees are also known for their medicinal properties, and have been used in traditional medicine for their anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties.

Maple Leaf

If you didn't already know, there are approximately 132 species of maple, most of which are native to Asia, with a number also appearing in Europe, northern Africa, and North America. Most maples are trees growing to a height of 10–45 m. Most species are deciduous, and many are renowned for their autumn leaf color. The maple is a common symbol of strength and endurance and has been chosen as the national tree of Canada. The maple leaf is on the coat of arms of Canada, and is on the Canadian flag.

Ginkgo Leaves

Ginkgo biloba, commonly known as ginkgo or gingko, are large trees, normally reaching a height of 20-35 m, with some specimens in China being over 50 m. The tree is widely cultivated, and was cultivated early in human history. It has various uses in traditional medicine and as a source of food. Although Ginkgo biloba and other species of the genus were once widespread throughout the world, its range shrank and by two million years ago, it was restricted to a small area of China. For centuries, it was thought to be extinct in the wild, but is now known to grow in at least two small areas in Zhejiang province in eastern China, in the Tianmushan Reserve.

Clipper Butterfly

In this new puzzle we feature another beautiful butterfly. It is called clipper butterfly (Parthenos sylvia) and it is native to south and southeast Asia. It lives mostly in forested areas and like most butterfly species primarily feeds on nectar from flowers.

The Comb of the Wind

Located at the end of the Ondarreta beach, in San Sebastián (in the Basque Country of Spain), the Peine del Viento (The Comb of the Wind) is a collection of three sculptures by Eduardo Chillida arranged as an architectural work by the Basque architect Luis Pena Ganchegui. It is made up of three of Chillida’s monumental steel sculptures, weighing 10 tons each, embedded in natural rocks rising from the Cantabrian Sea.
