About Maple Leaf: If you didn't already know, there are approximately 132 species of maple, most of which are native to Asia, with a number also appearing in Europe, northern Africa, and North America. Most maples are trees growing to a height of 10–45 m. Most species are deciduous, and many are renowned for their autumn leaf color. The maple is a common symbol of strength and endurance and has been chosen as the national tree of Canada.
