Leather Belts Puzzle Details:

About: Belts have been documented as male clothing since the Bronze Age. In the western world, belts have been more common for men, with the exception of the early Middle Ages, late 17th century Mantua, and skirt/blouse combinations between 1900 and 1910. Belts are usually made out of materials like leather that are both strong and light. In today's challenging puzzle we feature lots and lots of brown and black leather belts. Old Clock

It's time for a new puzzle. Today's jigsaw features an old clock that used to tick time away in a town's clock tower. A clock tower is a tower specifically built with one or more clock faces. Clock towers can be either freestanding or part of a church or municipal building such as a town hall. The mechanism inside the tower is known as a turret clock. It often marks the hour by sounding large bells or chimes, sometimes playing simple musical tunes. Before the middle of the twentieth century, most people did not have watches, and prior to the 18th century even home clocks were rare. The first clocks didn't have faces, but were solely striking clocks, which sounded bells to call the surrounding community to work or to prayer.

The preservation of ships in museums ensures that ancient and historic vessels are preserved for posterity in optimum conditions and are available for academic study and for public education and interest. Choose a difficulty level, click start and let's explore every ship in this harbor. From wooden sail boats to steam powered ships this nautical museum has them all. Ships have been important contributors to human migration and commerce. The first known vessels date back about 10,000 years ago, but could not be described as ships. The oldest discovered sea faring hulled boat is the Late Bronze Age Uluburun shipwreck off the coast of Turkey, dating back to 1300 BC. Until the Renaissance, navigational technology remained comparatively primitive. Ship designs stayed fairly unchanged until the late 19th century when the industrial revolution, new mechanical methods of propulsion, and the ability to construct ships from metal triggered an explosion in ship design.
