Also known as a football field or soccer field, the pitch is rectangular in shape. The longer sides are called touchlines. The other opposing sides are called the goal lines. The ball is an air-filled sphere with a circumference of 68–70 cm, a weight of 410–450 g, inflated to a pressure of 0.6 to 1.1 atmospheres, and covered in leather or plastic.
