Fairy Sitting On Pumpkins Puzzle Details:

About: A fairy (also fay, fae, fair folk) is a type of mythical being or legendary creature in European folklore. Fairies are generally described as human in appearance and having magical powers. Small fairies, like the one in today's puzzle, of one kind or another have been recorded for centuries, but occur alongside the human-sized beings; these have been depicted as ranging in size from very tiny up to the size of a human child. Wings, while common in Victorian and later artwork of fairies, are very rare in the folklore.

Our Planet

Our planet - Earth, also known as Terra, or Gaia, is the third planet from the Sun, the densest planet in the Solar System. According to evidence from sources such as radiometric dating, Earth was formed around four and a half billion years ago. It is now home to an untold number of animal and plant species, including billions of humans. Although we like to call our home planet Earth it is actually over 70% percent covered with water (liquid or solid - Earth's poles are mostly covered with ice).

Toy Rubber Ducks Play

Toy Rubber Ducks

The yellow rubber duck has achieved an iconic status in Western pop culture and is often symbolically linked to bathing. The earliest rubber ducks were made from harder rubber and were not capable of floating, but instead were intended for use as chew toys. Sculptor Peter Ganine created a sculpture of a duck in the 1940s, then patented it and reproduced it as a floating toy, of which over 50,000,000 were sold. Modern toy rubber ducks come in a variety of shapes and sizes but they keep the traditional yellow color. In today's puzzle we feature a variety of such toys; the ducks are dressed up as pirates, medics, super heroes, pop stars and more. Click start and give it a try!

Fishing Nets And Floats Play

Fishing Nets And Floats

The oldest known fishing net is the net of Antrea, found with other fishing equipment in the Karelian town of Antrea. The net was made from willow, and dates back to 8300 BC. Fishing nets have not evolved greatly, and many contemporary fishing nets would be recognized for what they are in Neolithic times. Early nets were woven from grasses, flaxes and other fibrous plant material. Later cotton was used. Modern nets are usually made of artificial polyamides like nylon, although nets of organic polyamides such as wool or silk thread were common until recently. Some types of fishing nets, like seine and trammel, need to be kept hanging vertically in the water by means of floats at the top (you can see some floats in this fun new puzzle). Floats come in different sizes and shapes and are made from various light "corkwood"-type woods.

Fall Mushrooms In The Forest Play

Fall Mushrooms In The Forest

Many species of mushrooms seemingly appear overnight, growing or expanding rapidly. They are used extensively in cooking, in many cuisines (notably Chinese, Korean, European, and Japanese). People who collect mushrooms for consumption are known as mycophagists, and the act of collecting them for such is known as mushroom hunting, or simply "mushrooming". A number of species of mushrooms are poisonous. Separating edible from poisonous species requires meticulous attention to detail. Common best practice is for wild mushroom pickers to focus on collecting a small number of visually distinctive, edible mushroom species that cannot be easily confused with poisonous varieties. Some mushrooms are used or studied as possible treatments for diseases. Historically in traditional Chinese medicine, mushrooms are believed to have medicinal value, although there is no evidence for such uses.

Colored Paper Clips

A new puzzle is here. Today's jigsaw features a bunch of differently colored paper clips. According to the Early Office Museum, the first patent for a bent wire paper clip was awarded in the United States to Samuel B. Fay, in 1867. This clip was originally intended primarily for attaching tickets to fabric, although the patent recognized that it could be used to attach papers together.

If you didn't know Winnie-the-Pooh, also called Pooh Bear, is a fictional teddy bear created by English author A. A. Milne. On 6 January 1930, Stephen Slesinger purchased U.S. and Canadian merchandising, television, recording and other trade rights to the "Winnie-the-Pooh" works from Milne. The first time Pooh and his friends appeared in colour was 1932, when he was drawn by Slesinger in his now-familiar red shirt.
