Library Bookshelves Play

Library Bookshelves

A library is organized for use and maintained by a public body, an institution, a corporation, or a private individual. The first libraries consisted of archives of the earliest form of writing—the clay tablets in cuneiform script discovered in Sumer, some dating back to 2600 BC. Libraries often provide quiet areas for studying, and they also often offer common areas to facilitate group study and collaboration. In a library books are usually stored on bookcases, or bookshelves, pieces of furniture with horizontal shelves, often in a cabinet.here are three common ways of arranging stationary bookcases: flat against the wall; in stacks or ranges parallel to each other with merely enough space between to allow for the passage of a librarian; or in bays or alcoves, where cases jut out into the room at right angles to the wall-cases. So what are waiting for? Click start and join us in the library for a fun and challenging jigsaw puzzle. Have fun!
Stagecoach Play

Stagecoach

Widely used before the introduction of railway transport, this type of four-wheeled covered wagon pulled by horses or mules was used to carry passengers and goods. The stagecoach traveled at an average speed of about five miles per hour, it could cover about 60 miles a day depending on the weather and the terrain it had to cross. The term "stage" originally referred to the distance between stations on a route, the coach traveling the entire route in "stages" because of it's limited range (unlike train, buses or planes of today the horses pulling the coach and the people aboard had to rest). In the United States at the beginning of the 18th century crude wagons began to be used to carry passengers between cities and towns, first within New England in 1744, then between New York and Philadelphia in 1756. Coachmen also carried letters, packages and money. The first Concord stagecoach, the same model as the one in this fun puzzle, was built in 1827. So jump aboard and lets go for a stagecoach ride in today's fun new jigsaw. Have fun!

Aztec Warrior Masks

The Aztec people were certain ethnic groups of central Mexico, particularly those groups who spoke the Nahuatl language from the 14th to 16th centuries. Sometimes the term also includes the inhabitants of Tenochtitlan's two principal allied city-states, the Acolhuas of Texcoco and the Tepanecs of Tlacopan, who together with the Mexica formed the Aztec Triple Alliance that controlled what is often known as the "Aztec Empire". In today's puzzle we feature some beautiful Aztec inspired Warrior Masks made out of wood that you can find at souvenir shops in Mexico.
