Digital forms of emoticons on the Internet were included in a proposal by Scott Fahlman of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in a message on 19 September 1982. Louis XIV began wearing a lace cravat about 1646 and set the fashion for French nobility. This new article of clothing started a fashion craze in Europe for both women and men. The standard length is 140 cm, though other lengths are available and vary from 117 cm to 152 cm.
