Tree Branches

In today's puzzle we feature a impressive old tree and it's intricate branches. Branches are woody structures that are connected to but not part of the trunk of a tree. Small branches also known as twigs and large ones are called boughs. The majority of trees, like the one in this puzzle, have upwardly diagonal branches.

If you didn't know, hops are the flowers of the hop plant. They are used primarily as a bittering, flavoring, and stability agent in beer and as ingredients in various other beverages and herbal medicines. Hops are harvested at the end of summer. After they are harvested they are dried and then they are used in the brewing process.

They are members of a group of plants that reproduce via spores and have neither seeds nor flowers. There are four particular types of habitats that ferns are found in: crevices in rock faces, especially when sheltered from the full sun; wetlands; moist, shady forests; and tropical trees.

Euro Coins

In today's puzzle we feature lots and lots of overlapping Euro coins. If you didn't know, The euro came into existence on 1 January 1999 and there are eight euro coin denominations, ranging from one cent to two euros (1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, 1 and 2 euro). They have a common reverse, portraying a map of Europe, but each country in the eurozone has its own design on the obverse, which means that each coin has a variety of different designs in circulation at once.

Old Wooden Barrels

Traditional barrels like the ones featured in today's puzzle are made of wooden staves and bound by wood or metal hoops. Barrels are used to store water, wine, oil, meat, fish, paint, honey, nails and other commodities.

They have evolved from being constructed from solid wood to using a variety of materials including carbon-Kevlar to make skis stronger, stiffer, lighter, and more durable. Skis are attached to ski boots with ski bindings, with either a free, lockable, or partially secured heel.
