Hot Air Balloon Race

Hot Air Balloon Race

Today we're going to a hot air balloon race. Pick your difficulty level, click start and put the colorful hot air balloons back together as fast as you can and join the race. The first manned hot air balloon flight was performed by Jean-Francois Pilatre de Rozier and Francois Laurent d'Arlandes on November 21, 1783, in Paris, France, in a balloon created by the Montgolfier brothers. If you didn't know, the hot air balloon is the first successful human-carrying flight technology. A hot air balloon for manned flight uses a single-layered, fabric gas bag, with an opening at the bottom. Attached to the envelope is a basket, or gondola, for carrying the passengers. Mounted above the basket is the "burner", which injects a flame into the envelope, heating the air within. Increasing the air temperature inside the envelope makes it less dense than the surrounding air. The balloon floats because of the buoyant force exerted on it.

It was however dangerous and flaming balls sometimes fell to the floor burning carpets and dresses, leading to their ban in France and Germany.
