Mountain Glacier Valley

In this fun new puzzle we're in a breath taking mountain location taking in the view by an impressive glacier. If you didn't know, a glacier forms where the accumulation of snow exceeds its ablation (melting and sublimation) over many years, often centuries. On Earth, 99% of glacial ice is contained within vast ice sheets in the polar regions, but glaciers may be found in mountain ranges on every continent. Glaciers slowly deform and flow due to stresses induced by their weight, creating crevasses, seracs, and carve deep glacial vallies like the one featured in today's puzzle.

The Jurassic Coast stretches from Exmouth in East Devon to Studland Bay in Dorset on the English Channel coast of southern England. The cliffs on this part of the coast are constantly being eroded by the elements. The site spans 185 million years of geological history, coastal erosion having exposed an almost continuous sequence of rock formation covering the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. The entire length of the coast can be walked on the South West Coast Path.
