Gates of the Yosemite

Today's puzzle is based on Albert Bierstadt's 1882 painting called "Gates of the Yosemite". Bierstadt was a German-American painter best known for his breathtaking landscapes of the American West. The painting featured in this puzzle depicts the Gates of the Valley near the western end of Yosemite Valley (a glacial valley in Yosemite National Park in the western Sierra Nevada mountains of Central California).

Niagara Falls

Today we're visiting the breathtaking Niagara Falls. This impressive group of three waterfalls is located on the border between the province of Ontario in Canada and the state of New York in the United States, at the southern end of Niagara Gorge. The falls are formed by the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario. This group waterfalls has the highest flow rate of any waterfall in North America.

Fluffy White Clouds

Reeds By The Lakeshore

In this new puzzle we're on the shores of a small lake at sunset. If you didn't know, reed is the name used for several tall, grass-like plants of wetlands. Many different cultures have used these types of plants in construction of buildings of various types for at least thousands of years.

River Landscape

Put today's puzzle back together and relax in a breathtaking river landscape. The puzzle is based on a oil on canvas painting by Annibale Carracci (an Italian painter) and it depicts the landscape by the banks of a small river on sunny autumn day. Surrounded by trees and vegetation, in the center of the image, partially covered by a tree in the foreground, we can see a small boat being pushed along the shallow waters of the river by the boatman while the other passengers enjoy the beautiful autumn landscape.

Red Lake

Today we're visiting the largest natural dam lake in the Eastern Carpathian Mountains. The lake is located at the foot of Hasmasul Mare Mountain, near the Bicaz Gorge, in Harghita County, Romania. It was formed following the collapse of a slope due to the earthquake of January 23, 1838. Soon after the valley had been closed, the forest was flooded, and the trees were petrified, giving a rare peculiarity to the whole landscape. Parts of the petrified spruce trunks can still be seen sticking out of the water to this day. The lake and surroundings are a popular tourist attraction.

Federa Lake And Midday Peak

In today's puzzle we're visiting lake Federa (lago Fedèra). This beautiful alpine lake in the Italian Dolomites is located within the municipal area of Cortina d'Ampezzo , in the province of Belluno. The mountain peak reflecting in the lake's waters is called Becco di Mezzodi (2,603m) and it is a a mountain of the Croda da Lago chain, a small mountain group in the central Dolomites. The mountain's name means Midday Peak in the local dialect, as the sun appears directly above the peak at midday from Cortina.

Glacier National Park Landscape

Today we're visiting the Glacier National Park. This beautiful American national park is located in northwestern Montana, on the Canada–United States border. The park is about 4000 square kilometers and it includes parts of two mountain ranges, more than 130 named lakes, more than 1,000 different species of plants, and hundreds of species of animals(such as moose, grizzly bears, and mountain goats, as well as rare or endangered species like Canadian lynxes and wolverines).
