Venice, a city in northeastern Italy and the capital of the Veneto region, is situated across a group of 118 small islands that are separated by canals and linked by 400 bridges. The bark of all birches is characteristically marked with long, horizontal lenticels, and often separates into thin, papery plates. White-barked birches, like the ones in this fun nature themed jigsaw puzzles, are cultivated as ornamental trees, largely for their appearance in winter.
