The other type of pasta we have is penne, an extruded type of pasta with cylinder-shaped pieces. Penne is traditionally cooked al dente and its shape makes it particularly adapted for sauces, such as pesto, marinara, or arrabbiata.

If you didn't know, a baguette is a long, thin loaf of French bread. It has a diameter of about 5 to 6 centimeters (2–2,5 inches) and a usual length of about 65 cm (26 in), although a baguette can be up to 1 m (39 in) long. In this food themed puzzle we feature a bunch of freshly baked mini baguettes. They are smaller in size and can easily fit in a bread basket.

If you didn't know, the word "cauliflower" derives from the Italian cavolfiore, meaning "cabbage flower". Cauliflower is one of several vegetables in the species Brassica oleracea that also includes cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, collard greens, and kale. There are hundreds of varieties of cauliflower grown around the world. The most common variety is white cauliflower(the one featured in today's puzzle), with orange, green and purple varieties also being available.

Today's new puzzle is based on a vintage illustration from The Fruit Grower's Guide (1891) by John Wright. It depicts three peach cultivars popular at the time. Hundreds of peach and nectarine cultivars are known. Peach breeding has favored cultivars with more firmness, more red color, and shorter fuzz on the fruit surface. Peaches are eaten raw, dried, made into jams and preserves or turned into juice.

Organic grown fruits and vegetables are host to a significantly greater variety of "good" bacteria, do not contain any synthetic chemicals and taste better. If you didn't know, organic farming is an agricultural system that uses fertilizers of organic origin (such as compost manure) and places emphasis on techniques such as crop rotation and companion planting.

What better way to start the weekend then with a relaxing jigsaw puzzle and some freshly picked cherries. Cherries have a very short growing season and can grow in most temperate latitudes. They blossom in April and the peak season for cherries is in the summer. Most eating cherries are derived from either Prunus avium, the sweet cherry (also called the wild cherry), or from Prunus cerasus, the sour cherry.

In today's food themed puzzle we feature a grill full of shashlik skewers. If you didn't know, shashlik, or shashlyk, is a dish of skewered and grilled cubes of meat, similar to with shish kebab. Shashlik was originally made of lamb, but nowadays it is also made of pork, beef, or venison, depending on local preferences and religious observances. The meat is marinated overnight in a high-acidity marinade like vinegar, dry wine or sour fruit/vegetable juice with the addition of onions, herbs and spices. The skewers are usually roasted on a mangal(barbecue) over wood, charcoal, or coal.
