A Basket of Fruit in a Landscape

Teatime

If you didn't know, tea (in reference to food, rather than the drink) has long been used as an umbrella term for several different meals. Teatime is the time at which the tea meal is usually eaten, which is late afternoon to early evening. The most common ingredients of a light tea are tea itself, with cakes, biscuits or pastries, bread and jam, and sandwiches. So what are you waiting for? Bruschetta

If you didn't know, Bruschetta is starter dish from Italy consisting of grilled bread rubbed with garlic and topped with olive oil, tomatoes, basil, vegetables, beans, cured meat, or cheese. Bruschetta originated in Italy during 15th century and it was developed as a way of salvaging bread that was going stale. The noun bruschetta comes from the Roman dialect verb bruscare, the equivalent which means "to toast", or "to roast over coals".

Freshly Baked Mini Baguettes

If you didn't know, a baguette is a long, thin loaf of French bread. It has a diameter of about 5 to 6 centimeters (2–2,5 inches) and a usual length of about 65 cm (26 in), although a baguette can be up to 1 m (39 in) long. In this food themed puzzle we feature a bunch of freshly baked mini baguettes. They are smaller in size and can easily fit in a bread basket.

Shashlik

In today's food themed puzzle we feature a grill full of shashlik skewers. If you didn't know, shashlik, or shashlyk, is a dish of skewered and grilled cubes of meat, similar to with shish kebab. Shashlik was originally made of lamb, but nowadays it is also made of pork, beef, or venison, depending on local preferences and religious observances. The meat is marinated overnight in a high-acidity marinade like vinegar, dry wine or sour fruit/vegetable juice with the addition of onions, herbs and spices. The skewers are usually roasted on a mangal(barbecue) over wood, charcoal, or coal.

White Beans

In today's puzzle we feature lots and lots of white beans. They are one of the longest-cultivated plants and are used in many traditional dishes throughout the world. Beans are usually boiled but they can also be fried or baked. They have significant amounts of fiber, they are high in protein, carbohydrates and iron.

Fettuccine And Penne Pasta

This morning we're in the kitchen getting ready to cook some pasta. We can choose between fettuccine or penne. What is your favorite? If you didn't know, fettuccine is a type of pasta made of egg and flour. Individual pieces of fettuccine are long, flat ribbons that are curled up into small balls. The other type of pasta we have is penne, an extruded type of pasta with cylinder-shaped pieces. Penne is traditionally cooked al dente and its shape makes it particularly adapted for sauces, such as pesto, marinara, or arrabbiata.

Sweet Cheese Buns

In today's puzzle we feature some delicious sweet cheese buns. These delicious baked sweets are a type roll filled with a sweet cheese mixture. They're a popular desert in some eastern European countries. What do you think? Do they look delicious?

Fresh Cabbage

In today's puzzle we feature a bunch of freshly picked cabbages. If you didn't know, cabbage is a good source of vitamin K, vitamin C and dietary fiber. It can be eaten raw, pickled, stewed, fermented, steamed, stewed or braised. A cabbage generally weighs between 500 to 1,000 grams (1 to 2 lb). Cabbage cultivars come in a variety of shapes, colors (white and a range of greens and purples.) and leaf textures.

Cherries

Goulash

In today's food themed puzzle we feature a bowl of homemade goulash. If you didn't know, goulash is a stew of meat and vegetables seasoned with paprika (a ground spice made from dried red peppers) and other spices. Goulash is one of the national dishes of Hungary and a symbol of the country. It is a common meal predominantly eaten in Central Europe but also in other parts of Europe. It can be prepared from beef, veal, pork, or lamb. Garlic and soup vegetables like carrot, parsley root, peppers and celery may be added.

Pineapple

If you didn't already know, pineapples grow as a small shrub and are indigenous to South America. The individual flowers the unpollinated pineapple plant fuse to form a multiple fruit - the pineapple fruit featured in this puzzle. The pineapple fruit is a rich source of manganese (44% Daily Value, DV) and vitamin C (58% DV).
