Yellow Roses

Yellow roses are a type of rose that has bright yellow petals. They are often associated with friendship, joy, and warmth. Yellow roses can come in a variety of shades, ranging from pale, buttery yellows to deep, golden hues. They typically have a sweet, delicate fragrance, although some varieties may have little to no scent. Two Yellow Dandelions

In today's new puzzle we feature two yellow dandelions in a grassy field. The dandelion's flower heads are yellow to orange, and are open in the daytime, but closed at night. The flower heads mature into spherical seed heads sometimes called blowballs or clocks containing many single-seeded fruits called achenes. The mature seeds are attached to white, fluffy "parachutes" which easily detach from the seedhead and glide by wind, dispersing.

Most species flower in late winter, before the vernal equinox (20 or 21 March in the Northern Hemisphere), but some flower in early spring. The snowdrop is native to a large area of Europe, stretching from the Pyrenees in the west, through France and Germany to Poland in the north, Italy, northern Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, and European Turkey. It has also been introduced and is widely naturalized in most parts of the world.

Oleanders

If you didn't already know, the oleander or nerium is a shrub cultivated as an ornamental and landscaping plant. It has white, pink or red five-lobed flowers that grow in clusters year-round, peaking during the summer. They are often, but not always, sweet-scented. This puzzle is based on a painting by Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890) that loved oleander flowers and considered them joyous and life-affirming because they bloomed a all year-round.

Magnolia Flowers

The saucer magnolia (Magnolia x soulangeana, it's flowers are featured in this puzzle) typically grows to a height of 20-30 feet (6-9 meters) and a width of 15-25 feet (4.5-7.5 meters), with a rounded or spreading shape. Its leaves are dark green and oval-shaped, and can grow up to 6 inches (15 cm) long. One of the most striking features of the saucer magnolia is its large, cup-shaped flowers, which can grow up to 10 inches (25 cm) in diameter. The flowers are usually pink or purplish-pink, with a white interior and a subtle fragrance. They bloom in early spring, before the leaves appear, and last for several weeks. It is a cross between Magnolia denudata and Magnolia liliiflora, and was first bred in France in the early 19th century.
