This beautiful and challenging puzzle is based on a painting by the Venetian painter Giambattista Cimaroli. It depicts view of life on the Brenta near the town of Dolo, a short distance from Venice. The Brenta is a river that runs from Trentino to the Adriatic Sea just south of the Venetian lagoon. It runs through Stra, Fiesso d'Artico, Dolo, Mira, Oriago and Malcontenta to Fusina.

Today we're going back in time and visiting Olinda, Brazil in 1662. This puzzle is based on an oil on canvas painting Frans Jansz Post. The Empress Eugenie

If you didn't already know, Dona María Eugenia Ignacia Agustina de Palafox y Kirkpatrick, 19th Countess of Teba, 16th Marchioness of Ardales (5 May 1826 – 11 July 1920), known as Eugenie de Montijo, was Empress of the French from her marriage to Emperor Napoleon III. This painting of her was made in oil on canvas by Franz Xaver Winterhalter in 1854.

The Basket of Apples

This new puzzle is based on Paul Cezanne 1893 painting "The Basket of Apples". This painting contains one of Cezanne's signature tilted tables, an impossible rectangle with no right angles. On the table you can see a basket of apples, a bottle of wine, a folded tablecloth and a plate of cookies. The romanticized, autumnal scene depicted in this beautiful panting has two Native American figures at it's center and the impressive Niagara Falls in the background. If you didn't know, Thomas Cole (February 1, 1801 - February 11, 1848) was an Anglo-American painter known for his landscape and history paintings.
