An Abundance of Fruit

This beautiful and challenging jigsaw puzzle is base on an oil on canvas painting by Severin Roesen (a Prussian-American painter known for his abundant fruit and flower still lifes). As the title states the painting depicts an abundance of fruit (grapes, plums, apricots, lemons, strawberries and more) on a marble table.

Wooded Landscape with Travelers

This new puzzle is based on Jan Brueghel the Elder 1610 oil on panel painting "Wooded Landscape with Travelers". Jan Brueghel the Elder was a Flemish painter and draughtsman. He worked in many genres including history paintings, landscapes and seascapes, hunting pieces, village scenes, allegorical and mythological scenes, battle scenes and more. Wooded Landscape with Travelers depicts a rustic scene in the Flemish countryside. Farmers and their animals are depicted traveling to and from a city in the distance.

Grapes, Lemons, Pears, and Apples

Another art themed puzzle is here. Painted in the fall of 1887 by Vincent van Gogh, "Grapes, Lemons, Pears, and Apples" features seasonal fruit. In this painting, van Gogh employed more vibrant colors, and used a thicker, broader paint application than he had earlier.

Just Dessert

This new puzzle is base on, William Michael Harnett's 1891 oil on canvas painting with the same name. The painting depicts a variety of foodstuffs arranged on a marble surface. We can see half a coconut, a box of Smyrna figs, a bottle of Maraschino liqueur, a copper pitcher on one side of the table, a pewter tankard on the other side, a ginger jar and some white and red grapes.

The Large Plane Trees

Also known as the "Road Menders at Saint-Remy", the painting that today's puzzle is based on depicts roadwork taking place underneath some large plane trees on a autumn day. In actuality, "The Large Pane Trees" (the one featured in this puzzle) and the "Road Menders of Saint-Remy" are two different paintings and are sometimes confused as one. Although similar, Van Gogh painted this one first on a red and white checkered table cloth and later painted it again on an actual canvas.

Cliff Walk at Pourville

Today's puzzle is based on a painting by Claude Monet. Cliff Walk at Pourville was painted in February 1882 went Claude Monet went to Normandy to retreat from personal and professional pressures and paint. The landscape painting features two women atop a cliff above the sea.

Snap the Whip

Today's puzzle is based on Winslow Homer's Snap the Whip 1872 oil painting. The painting depicts a group o playing crack(snap) the whip. If you didn't know, crack the whip is a simple outdoor children's game played in small groups, either on grass or ice, usually grass. Homer spent several summers in New York's Hudson Valley, and is said to have been inspired to paint this scene by local boys playing at the Hurley schoolhouse.

Fishing in Spring, the Pont de Clichy

This new art themed puzzle is base on Vincent van Gogh's 1887 oil on canvas painting called Fishing in Spring, the Pont de Clichy (Asnières). The setting of this work is the Seine River at the Pont de Clichy, near Asnières. The Seine has been an integral part of Parisian life for centuries for commerce, travel and entertainment and it has been the subject and location of the paintings that Vincent van Gogh made in 1887. Longing for tranquil settings, van Gogh began to paint beyond the city fortifications and along the banks of the Seine, in Asnières and the island of Grand Jatte. He experimented with a lighter, more colorful palette than used in his early Dutch paintings or Montmartre series.

The Bell Inn

Solve today's puzzle and see how and inn used to look in the late 1700s. The Bell Inn featured in this puzzle was painted by the British artist George Morland in the late 1780s. A Month's Darning

Today's puzzle is based on Enoch Wood Perry's 1876 painting with the same name. The painting depicts a young woman sitting by a window darning. If you didn't know, darning is a sewing technique for repairing holes or worn areas in fabric or knitting. The painting is called A Month's Daring because, in the original painting (not visible in this puzzle), by her side she has a basket full of clothes and socks that need fixing.

Still Life with Apples and Pitcher

Today's puzzle is based on Camille Pissaro's 1872 impressionist oil on canvas painting "Still Life with Apples and Pitcher". Pissarro was a Danish-French Impressionist and Neo-Impressionist painter born on the island of St Thomas. He is the only artist to have shown his work at all eight Paris Impressionist exhibitions, from 1874 to 1886.
