About: Dating back to 1776, Castle Verwolde in Laren (Holland) is located in gorgeous surroundings in a large private country estate. On its estate there is a tree, said to be the thickest tree in the Netherlands ( "de dikke boom van Verwolde"). For 200 years, Castle Verwolde was inhabited by various generations of the same family. In summer, guided tours of this castle are organized for tourists.

In this fun new puzzle we're going to Dresden, in the German state of Saxony, to visit Moritzburg Castle. The original castle, built from 1542–1546, was a hunting lodge for Moritz of Saxony, then Duke of Saxony. In 1728, a park was added to the castle on the adjacent land to the north. The interior of the castle is furnished with examples of opulent baroque decor from the time of Augustus the Strong. The walls are covered in 17th century gold-gilded leather. Many rooms' furnishings are dedicated to courtly hunting.

Ananuri was a castle and seat of the eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi, a feudal dynasty which ruled the area from the 13th century. The castle complex is located on the Aragvi River in Georgia. The fortifications consist of two castles joined by a crenelated curtain wall. Within the complex, among other buildings, are two churches. The older Church of the Virgin, which abuts a tall square tower. It dates from the first half of the 17th century, and was built of brick. The larger Church of the Mother of God, is a central dome style structure with richly decorated facades, including a carved north entrance and a carved grapevine cross on the south facade.

Since 1442 the masters of Büdingen have been known as Grafen of Isenburg-Büdingen. After a local war, Graf Ludwig II built an enormous new defensive wall with 22 towers around the old stronghold between 1480 and 1510. These walls are still nearly complete and they are one of the most important medieval strongholds in Germany.

Its inauguration was held in 1883. Its architectural style is a romantically inspired blend Neo-Renaissance and Gothic Revival similar to Schloss Neuschwanstein in Bavaria. A towering statue of King Carol I by Raffaello Romanelli overlooks the main entrance. Many other statues are present on the seven Italian neo-Renaissance terrace gardens, mostly of Carrara marble executed by the Italian sculptor Romanelli. The gardens also host fountains, urns, stairways, guarding lions, marble paths, and other decorative pieces.

Located in the city of Schwerin (Germany), Schwerin Castle - the beautiful castle feature in this puzzle, is situated on an island on lake Schwerin (an approximately 61 square kilometres and 52 meter depth). The palace was the home of the dukes and grand dukes of Mecklenburg and Mecklenburg-Schwerin for hundreds of years. The first records of a castle at this location date from AD 973. Major parts of the current palace were built between 1845 and 1857, as a cooperation of the renowned history architects Friedrich August Stüler, Gottfried Semper, Ernst Friedrich Zwirner and Georg Adolf Demmler. A third of the palace was destroyed in 1913 by a fire but it was reconstructed. After the abdication of the Grand Duke in 1918 the castle became a musesum and in 1948 the seate of the state parliament. Starting in the 1950 it has been a college for kindergarten teachers, a museum and since 1990 is has once again been a the seat of he state assembly of the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The castle structure was erected by Frands Brockenhuus in 1554. The castle consists of two long buildings connected by a thick double wall, allowing defenders to abandon one house and continue fighting from the other. The architecture includes depressed and round-arched windows, round-arched blank arcading within the gables, and a double string course between the high cellar and the ground floor. Surrounding the castle is an old park divided into a number of gardens featuring fountains, a gravel path and topiary figures.

Schloss Ort is an Austrian castle situated in the Traunsee lake, in Gmunden. It was built around 1080 by Hartnidus of Ort, and improvements continued to be made into the thirteenth century. From 1484 to 1491, the castle was governed by Gotthard von Starhenberg, the Governor of Upper Austria. In 1492, Bernhard of Starhenberg and later his descendants ruled the castle until 1584. In 1876, the castle was acquired by Archduke John Salvator of Austria (John of Tuscany). The castle was later acquired by Franz Joseph I of Austria (in 1914). On January 5, 1995, the castle was officially acquired by the city of Gmunden. At present the castle is being used for a study center of the Federal Ministry for Land and Forestry.
