About: In this fun new puzzle we are visiting the city of Lübeck in Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany. The Holsten Gate ("Holstein Tor", later "Holstentor") is a city gate marking off the western boundary of the old center of the city. You can see it the center of the image featured in this jigsaw; it was built in 1464, and is one of the relics of Lübeck's medieval city fortifications. Known for its two-round towers and arched entrance, it is regarded today as a symbol of the city. The two towers and the central block appear as one construction when viewed from the city side. On the field side, the three units can be clearly differentiated.

The Mexico City Palace of Fine Arts

The Palacio de Bellas Artes (Palace of Fine Arts) is is located on the western side of the historic center of Mexico City next to the Alameda Central park. The exterior of the building is primarily Neoclassical and Art Nouveau and the interior is primarily Art Deco. The building is best known for its murals by Diego Rivera, Siqueiros and others, as well as the many exhibitions and theatrical performances its hosts. The main facade, which faces Avenida Juarez, is made of white Italian Carrara marble. In the interior of the portal are sculptures by Italian Leonardo Bistolfi. It consists of "Harmony", surrounded by "Pain", "Rage", "Happiness", "Peace" and "Love". In 1916, Monsignor Joseph Bosetti came across a large rock formation just east of Rocky Mountain National Park and inspired by the Biblical phrase "upon this rock I will build my church", he envisioned a church built on the rock. Land for the church was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Malo and Denver architect Jacques Benedict designed the chapel, which was completed in 1936. Boulder County designated the chapel as a historic site in 1999.

Notre-Dame de Paris is a historic Catholic cathedral on the eastern half of the Île de la Cité in the fourth arrondissement of Paris, France. The building was not originally designed to include the flying buttresses around the choir and nave but after the construction began, the thinner walls (popularized in the Gothic style) grew ever higher and stress fractures began to occur as the walls pushed outward. In response, the cathedral's architects built supports around the outside walls, and later additions continued the pattern. The cathedral was completed in 1345.
