Some Other Fun Puzzles

Rialto Bridge

Rialto Bridge

Ponte di Rialto (English: Rialto Bridge) is one of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. It is the oldest bridge across the canal, and was the dividing line for the districts of San Marco and San Polo. The present stone bridge, a single span designed by Antonio da Ponte, was finally completed in 1591. It is similar to the wooden bridge it succeeded. Two inclined ramps lead up to a central portico. On either side of the portico, the covered ramps carry rows of shops.
Watermill

Watermill

Watermills are used in the production of many material goods, including flour, lumber, paper, textiles, and many metal products. Typically, water is diverted from a river or impoundment or mill pond to a turbine or water wheel, along a channel or pipe. The force of the water's movement drives the blades of a wheel or turbine, which in turn rotates an axle that drives the mill's other machinery. By the early 20th century, availability of cheap electrical energy made the watermill obsolete in developed countries although some smaller rural mills continued to operate commercially later throughout the century.

Like the park itself, the house was designed by Andreas Kirkerup. It lies against the slope of the eastern hill, beside a small pond, and overlooks the park to the north.
The Holsten Gate

The Holsten Gate ("Holstein Tor", later "Holstentor") is a city gate marking off the western boundary of the old center of the city. You can see it the center of the image featured in this jigsaw; it was built in 1464, and is one of the relics of Lübeck's medieval city fortifications. Known for its two-round towers and arched entrance, it is regarded today as a symbol of the city. The two towers and the central block appear as one construction when viewed from the city side. On the field side, the three units can be clearly differentiated.
Abbey of Sant Antimo

Abbey of Sant Antimo

In today's puzzle game we feature a beautiful view of the Abbey of Sant'Antimo (Italian: Abbazia di Sant'Antimo), a former Benedictine monastery in the comune of Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy. The earliest document relating to the abbey is a land grant of Louis the Pious dated December 813. . Disused for many years, the abbey has since 1992 been in use by a small community of Premonstratensian Canons Regular.
Three Skyscrapers

Three Skyscrapers

When the term, skyscraper, was originally used in the 1880s it described a building of 10 to 20 floors but now describes one of at least 40–50 floors. One common feature of skyscrapers is having a steel framework that supports curtain walls. Modern skyscrapers' walls are not load-bearing, and most skyscrapers are characterized by large surface areas of windows made possible by steel frames and curtain walls. Skyscrapers are usually situated in city centers where the price of land is high. Constructing a skyscraper becomes justified if the price of land is so high that it makes economic sense to build upwards as to minimize the cost of the land per the total floor area of a building.
