Chamois

If you didn't know, the chamois is a species of goat-antelope native to mountains in Europe. It lives in precipitous, rugged, rocky terrain at moderately high elevations of up to at least 3,600 m (11,800 ft). Chamois eat various types of vegetation, including highland grasses and herbs during the summer and conifers, barks and needles from trees in winter. It's habitat includes the Pyrenees, the Alps, the Cantabrian mountains, the Tatra and the Carpathian Mountains, the Balkan Mountains, the Rila - Rhodope massif, Pindus, the northeastern mountains of Turkey, and the Caucasus.

Kitten And Autumn Leaves

Chaffinch

In today's puzzle we feature a chaffinch resting on dry tree branch. The common chaffinch or simply the chaffinch is about 14.5 cm long, with a wingspan of 24.5-28.5 cm and a weight of 18-29 g. The male is brightly colored with a blue-grey cap and rust-red underparts. The female is much duller in color, but both sexes have two contrasting white wing bars and white sides to the tail.

Cute Beagle

Beagles are popular pets due to their intelligence, size and good temper. The general appearance of the beagle resembles a miniature Foxhound. The eyes are large, hazel or brown, with a mild, hound-like pleading look. There are tricolored and two-color beagle varieties - their coats are usually white with patches of black and/or brown hair.

Great White Pelicans

Also known as the eastern white pelican, rosy pelican or white pelican, the great white pelican breeds from southeastern Europe through Asia and Africa, in swamps and shallow lakes. It is highly sociable and often forms large flocks. Great white pelicans usually prefer shallow, warm fresh water and they mainly eats fish. The pelican's pouch serves simply as a scoop. As the pelican pushes its bill underwater, the lower bill bows out, creating a large pouch which fills with water and fish. As it lifts its head, the pouch contracts, forcing out the water but retaining the fish.

Curious Mule

Mules have short, thick heads, long ears, thin limbs, small, narrow hooves, and short manes. They occur in a variety of configurations, sizes, and colors. Common colors are sorrel, bay, black, and grey.

Although sheep are frequently thought of as unintelligent animals, studies have shown that they are as intelligent as cattle. They can recognize individual human and animal faces and remember them for years.

Bridled Weasels

In this new puzzle we feature to cute bridled weasels playing on a log. The bridled weasel (long-tailed weasel or big stoat) is distinct from the short-tailed weasel, also known as a "stoat". The long-tailed weasel is one of the larger members of the genus Mustela in North America. It lives in ground burrows, under stumps or beneath rock piles. It usually does not dig its own burrows, but commonly uses abandoned chipmunk holes. The long-tailed weasel is a fearless and aggressive hunter which may attack animals far larger than itself. Its primary prey consists of mice, rats, squirrels, chipmunks, shrews, moles and rabbits. Occasionally, it may eat small birds, bird eggs, reptiles, amphibians, fish, earthworms and some insects.

Barbary Sheep

In today's puzzle we feature tow barbary sheep. The Barbary sheep is native to rocky mountains in North Africa. It is also known in the Berber language as waddan or arwi, and in former French territories as the moufflon. Barbary sheep are found in arid mountainous areas where they graze and browse grasses and bushes.

Sparrow Sitting On A Tree Branch

In this new puzzle we feature a cute house sparrow sitting on a tree branch. The house sparrow is strongly associated with human habitation, and can live in urban or rural settings. The house sparrow originated in the Middle East and spread, along with agriculture, to most of Eurasia and parts of North Africa. It feeds mostly on the seeds of grains and weeds, but it is an opportunistic eater and commonly eats insects and many other foods.

Louisiana Heron

Now known as the tricolored heron, the Louisiana heron, is a small species of heron native to coastal parts of the Americas. This species of heron breeds in swamps and other coastal habitats. Adults have a blue-grey head, neck, back, and upper wings, with a white line along the neck. Their belly is white. This puzzle is based on hand-colored engraving and aquatint on Whatman wove paper by Robert Havell after John James Audubon in the series The Birds of America.
