Sumatran Tiger

In today's puzzle we feature a Sumatran tiger. The Sumatran tiger is the only surviving tiger population in the Sunda Islands. These beautiful tigers prefer lowland and hill forests, they tend to use areas with higher elevation. The Sumatran tiger is one of the smallest tigers that are still living in the wild.

Bamboo partridges, sometimes called ridge partridges, are medium-sized non-migratory birds native to Asia. Their plumage is a mix of browns, cream and grey. Their diet consists primarily of young bamboo shoots and the fresh, young foliage, but also includes a wide variety of seeds and berries.

Prairie Wolves

The coyote (also called prairie wolf and the brush wolf) is a species of canine native to North America. Primarily carnivorous, its diet consists mainly of deer, rabbits, hares, rodents, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates, though it may also eat fruits and vegetables on occasion. Their fur color is predominantly light gray and red or fulvous interspersed with black and white, though it varies somewhat with geography. Coyotes live either in a family unit or in loosely knit packs of unrelated individuals.

Cute Lazy Cat

Although some might call them lazy, sleeping for long periods is something normal for cats. They usually rest between 12 and 16 hours a day and conserve energy by sleeping more than most animals, especially as they grow older. Cats have a tendency to fall asleep (lightly) for a brief period (this where the term "cat nap" comes from).

Spiny-headed Tree Frog

In today's animal themed puzzle we feature a cute Spiny-headed tree frog sitting on a small branch. Also known as spiny-headed treefrog, spinyhead treefrog, coronated treefrog, or the crowned hyla, this cute amphibian lives in lowland rainforests and montane humid forests in Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, and southern Mexico. The spiny-headed tree frog has long and slender legs and it's digits have adhesive discs at the tips. The adhesive discs help it climb trees and other obstacles.

Blue-gray Tanager

The blue-gray tanager is a South American songbird (south Mexico, northeast Bolivia, northern Brazil and all the Amazon Basin). It's habitat consists of open woodland, cultivated areas and gardens. The blue-gray tanager eats mainly fruits, nectar and insects. There are 14 recognized subspecies, differing according to the exact hue of blue of the shoulder patch versus the rest of the plumage.

Wild Yack

If you didn't know, the wild yak is a large bovine native to the Himalayas. It's habitat consists of treeless alpine areas between 3,000 and 5,500 m (9,800 and 18,000 ft), dominated by mountains and plateaus. Wild yaks once ranged up to southern Siberia to the east of Lake Baikal. Today, wild yaks are found primarily in northern Tibet and western Qinghai, with some populations extending into the southernmost parts of Xinjiang, and into India.

Cheetah

Today we feature the fastest land animal, the cheetah. Capable of running at 80 to 128 km/h (50 to 80 mph). It has several adaptations for speed, including a light build, long thin legs and a long tail. The cheetah occurs in a variety of habitats such as savannahs in the Serengeti, arid mountain ranges in the Sahara and hilly desert terrain in Iran.

Cute Beagle Playing In The Park

In today's puzzle we're in the park playing fetch with a cute beagle. If you didn't know, the beagle is a scent hound, developed primarily for hunting hare (beagling). It is very intelligent, has a good temper, and a lack of inherited health problems. Beagles are versatile and are nowadays employed for various roles in detection, therapy, and as family pets. They have an even temper, a gentle disposition and are excellent with children.
