Jaguars

Jaguars

Today's jigsaw puzzle features a couple of jaguars. The jaguar is a compact and well-muscled animal. Size and weight vary considerably: weights are normally in the range of 56–96 kg. Females are typically 10–20% smaller than males. The length, from the nose to the base of the tail, of the cats varies from 1.2 to 1.95 m. Their tails are the shortest of any big cat, at 45 to 75 cm in length. Like most cats, the jaguar is solitary outside mother-cub groups.
Eagle On A River Bank

Eagle On A River Bank

In today's animal themed puzzle we feature a beautiful eagle on a river bank looking for it's next meal. Eagles are large, powerfully built birds of prey, with heavy heads and beaks. They build their nests, called eyries, in tall trees or on high cliffs. The type of prey varies by genus. Some eagles prefer to capture fish, others capture various small animals, birds, snakes and reptiles.
Snow Leopard

Snow Leopard

Another great animal puzzle is here. Today's puzzle features a snow leopard. The snow leopard (Panthera uncia or Uncia uncia) is a moderately large cat native to the mountain ranges of Central Asia. Snow leopards are slightly smaller than the other big cats but, like them, exhibit a range of sizes, generally weighing between 27 and 55 kg, with an occasional large male reaching 75 kg and small female of under 25 kg. They have a relatively short body, measuring in length from the head to the base of the tail 75 to 130 centimeters. Snow leopards have long thick fur, and their base colour varies from smoky gray to yellowish tan, with whitish underparts. They have dark grey to black open rosettes on their body with small spots of the same color on their heads and larger spots on their legs and tail. Unusually among cats, their eyes are pale green or grey in color.
Moose

Moose

The moose (North America) or Eurasian elk (Europe) is the largest extant species in the deer family. Moose are distinguished by the palmate antlers of the males; other members of the family have antlers with a dendritic ("twig-like") configuration. Moose typically inhabit boreal and mixed deciduous forests of the Northern Hemisphere in temperate to subarctic climates.

The Blue Tit is a small bird in the tit family Paridae. The bird is easily recognizable by its blue and yellow plumage. Blue tits, usually resident and non-migratory birds, are widespread and a common resident breeder throughout temperate and subarctic Europe and western Asia in deciduous or mixed woodlands with a high proportion of oak. They usually nest in tree holes, although they easily adapt to nest boxes where necessary. This jigsaw puzzle is based on Archibald Thorburn's painting with the same name.
Australian Shepherd

Australian Shepherd

Put the close-up picture of the Australian shepherd featured in this game back together piece by piece and complete today's animal themed puzzle. Despite its name, the "Aussie" (a medium-sized breed of dog) was developed on ranches in the United States during the 19th century. The Aussie is intelligent, learns quickly, loves to play and has a reputation as a highly intelligent and versatile stock dog. They are very loyal to their owners, and are rewarding dogs if treated well.
Doves

Doves

Another fun puzzle is here. Today we feature a pair of doves building a nest in a flower filled tree. In general, the terms "dove" and "pigeon" are used somewhat interchangeably. In ornithological practice, "dove" tends to be used for smaller species and "pigeon" for larger ones. Doves are stout-bodied birds with short necks, and have short, slender bills with fleshy ceres. Doves feed on seeds, fruits, and plants. Pigeons and doves are distributed everywhere on Earth. The largest number of species is found in tropical forests and woodlands. These species may be arboreal, terrestrial or semiterrestrial. Various species also inhabit savannas, grasslands, deserts, temperate woodlands and forests, mangrove forests, and even the barren sands and gravels of atolls. This puzzle is based on a illustration by John James Audubon from his color-plate book entitled "The Birds of America".
