Curious Giraffe

In today's puzzle we feature a curious giraffe. Giraffes usually inhabit savannahs and woodlands. They are the tallest living terrestrial animal and the largest ruminant on Earth. Giraffes live in herds and they eat leaves, fruits, and flowers of woody plants. Fully grown giraffes stand 4.3–5.7 m (14.1–18.7 ft) tall, with males taller than females.

In today's puzzle we're in the park playing fetch with a cute beagle. If you didn't know, the beagle is a scent hound, developed primarily for hunting hare (beagling). It is very intelligent, has a good temper, and a lack of inherited health problems. Beagles are versatile and are nowadays employed for various roles in detection, therapy, and as family pets. They have an even temper, a gentle disposition and are excellent with children.

Chimpanzee

The chimpanzee, also known as simply the chimp, is native to the forest and savannah of tropical Africa. It lives in groups that range in size from 15 to 150 members, although individuals travel and forage in much smaller groups during the day. The chimpanzee prefers fruit above all other food items but also eats leaves, leaf buds, seeds, blossoms, resin, bark, and stems.

Horses are herbivores with a digestive system adapted to a forage diet of grasses and other plant material, consumed steadily throughout the day. Chickens are gregarious birds and live together in flocks. Roosters are very territorial and protective of their flocks. A rooster's crowing is a loud call and sends a territorial signal to other roosters but it can also be used to inform the flock about sudden disturbances within their surroundings.

King Eider

The king eider spends most of the year in coastal marine ecosystems at high latitudes, and migrates to Arctic tundra to breed in June and July. The male is unmistakable with its mostly black body, buff-tinged white breast and multicolored head. The head, nape and neck are a pale bluish grey. The cheek is pale green. The bill, separated from the face by a thin black line, is red with a white nail and a large, distinctive yellow knob. Although sheep are frequently thought of as unintelligent animals, studies have shown that they are as intelligent as cattle. American Bison

The beautiful bison featured in today's puzzle is part of a species of bison that once roamed North America in vast herds. It nearly became extinct in the 19th century. Today wild bison live largely in a few national parks and reserves. Bison are herbivores, grazing on the grasses and sedges of the prairies. They are migratory and herd migrations can be directional as well as altitudinal in some areas. Female bison live in maternal herds which include other females and their offspring. Males live alone or join other males in bachelor herds.
