Giant Anteater

The giant anteater, also known as the ant bear, is native to Central and South America. It's mostly terrestrial and lives and forages and various habitats, including rainforest, grasslands and open areas. As it's name implies it feeds primarily on ants and termites using it's long and sticky tongue to collect them. In today's puzzle we feature a mother giant anteater and it's baby. Mother anteaters carry their offspring on their backs until weaning them.

Wild Yack

If you didn't know, the wild yak is a large bovine native to the Himalayas. It's habitat consists of treeless alpine areas between 3,000 and 5,500 m (9,800 and 18,000 ft), dominated by mountains and plateaus. Wild yaks once ranged up to southern Siberia to the east of Lake Baikal. Today, wild yaks are found primarily in northern Tibet and western Qinghai, with some populations extending into the southernmost parts of Xinjiang, and into India.

Tiny Garden Snail

The Eld's deer, also known as the thamin or brow-antlered deer, is a species of deer endemic to South Asia. The deer are generally of medium size, they have a rough and coarse coat that change color with the season; in summer the color is reddish-brown, while in winter, it turns dark brown. Their diets comprise a variety of herbaceous plants, grasses, and shoots, fruit and wetland plants. The species is categorized as endangered.

Cute Beagle

Beagles are popular pets due to their intelligence, size and good temper. The general appearance of the beagle resembles a miniature Foxhound. Roosters are differentiated from hens by the distinctive plumage, the long flowing tails, pointed feathers on their backs and neck and the brighter, and bolder colors. Chickens are gregarious birds and live together in flocks. Roosters are very territorial and protective of their flocks. A rooster's crowing is a loud call and sends a territorial signal to other roosters but it can also be used to inform the flock about sudden disturbances within their surroundings.

Meller's chameleon also known as the giant one-horned chameleon, is the largest species of chameleon in Africa. Meller's live in bushy savannahs and eat insects, smaller lizards, worms, and caterpillars. Meller's chameleon was named after the botanist Charles James Meller (1836-1869).

Horses are grazing animals, and their major source of nutrients is good-quality forage from hay or pasture. It has several adaptations for speed, including a light build, long thin legs and a long tail. The cheetah occurs in a variety of habitats such as savannahs in the Serengeti, arid mountain ranges in the Sahara and hilly desert terrain in Iran.
