Cute Pigeons In The Park

In today's puzzle we feature two cute pigeons on a grassy meadow in the park. If you didn't know, the name pigeon comes from a French word that derives from the Latin pipio, for a "peeping" chick. Pigeons primarily feed on seeds, fruits, and plants. These birds have adapted to most of the habitats available on the planet. Various species inhabit urban and rural areas, savannas, grasslands, deserts, temperate woodlands and forests, and even remote atolls and islands in the middle of the ocean.

Penguins

These cute aquatic flightless birds live almost exclusively in the Southern Hemisphere. They spend roughly half of their lives on land and the other half in the sea and feed on krill, fish, squid and other forms of sea life. All penguins have black backs and wings with white fronts. They are not found only in cold climates, such as Antarctica. Some species of penguin the temperate zone. For example the Galapagos penguin, lives as far north as the Galápagos Islands. Although the Arctic and Antarctic regions are very similar, no penguins live in the Arctic.

Giant Anteater

The giant anteater, also known as the ant bear, is native to Central and South America. It's mostly terrestrial and lives and forages and various habitats, including rainforest, grasslands and open areas. As it's name implies it feeds primarily on ants and termites using it's long and sticky tongue to collect them. In today's puzzle we feature a mother giant anteater and it's baby. Mother anteaters carry their offspring on their backs until weaning them.

Two Black Horses

Put the pieces back together, complete today's puzzle and see the two beautiful black horses featured in today's puzzle. Humans began domesticating horses around 4000 BC and still interact with them in a wide variety of activities (sport competitions and recreational pursuits as well as in working activities such as agriculture, entertainment, police work and therapy).

Wild Yack

If you didn't know, the wild yak is a large bovine native to the Himalayas. It's habitat consists of treeless alpine areas between 3,000 and 5,500 m (9,800 and 18,000 ft), dominated by mountains and plateaus. Wild yaks once ranged up to southern Siberia to the east of Lake Baikal. Today, wild yaks are found primarily in northern Tibet and western Qinghai, with some populations extending into the southernmost parts of Xinjiang, and into India.

Sleepy Cat On Park Bench

Pony Resting In The Shade

It's a hot Summer day and this cute pony has decided to take a well-deserved break in the shade. Ponies are generally considered intelligent and friendly, but are also known to be stubborn and cunning. Compared to other horses, ponies often exhibit thick manes, tails and overall coat, as well as proportionally shorter legs.

Pelican And Seagulls

Pelicans frequent inland and coastal waters, where they feed principally on fish, catching them at or near the water surface. They use their long beak and a large throat pouch to catch prey and drain the water from the scooped-up contents before swallowing. There are eight living pelican species today. The one in today's puzzle is a great white pelican, also known as the eastern white pelican, rosy pelican or white pelican.

Mouflons In The Snow

In today's wildlife themed puzzle we feature two mouflons, a male and a female, resting on some snow covered rocks. The mouflon occurs in southeastern Turkey, southern Armenia, southern Azerbaijan, northern Iraq, western southern and Iran. Is a wild sheep and it is thought to be the ancestor of all modern domestic sheep breeds. The horns of mature rams are curved in almost one full revolution. Some females are horned (like the one in this puzzle), while others are polled.

Chimpanzee

The chimpanzee, also known as simply the chimp, is native to the forest and savannah of tropical Africa. It lives in groups that range in size from 15 to 150 members, although individuals travel and forage in much smaller groups during the day. The chimpanzee prefers fruit above all other food items but also eats leaves, leaf buds, seeds, blossoms, resin, bark, and stems.

Black-backed Woodpecker

In today's puzzle we feature a male and a female black-backed woodpecker, also known as the Arctic three-toed woodpecker. The black-backed woodpecker inhabits the forests of North America and is a medium-sized woodpecker. The plumage of these cute woodpeckers is black on the head, back, wings and rump. They are white from the throat to the belly. You can tell the male apart from the female by it's yellow cap.

Curious Cat

Cats are naturally inquisitive and like investigating and squeezing into tight places. A cat's curiosity is driven by it's instinct. Exploring it's environment and being aware of any subtle change used to help cats keep safe from predators and identify prey.
