Meller's Chameleon

Meller's chameleon also known as the giant one-horned chameleon, is the largest species of chameleon in Africa. Meller's live in bushy savannahs and eat insects, smaller lizards, worms, and caterpillars. Meller's chameleon was named after the botanist Charles James Meller (1836-1869).

Baby Hippo

The hippopotamus, also called the hippo or river hippopotamus is a semiaquatic mammal native to sub-Saharan Africa. It inhabits rivers, lakes, and mangrove swamps. During the day, hippos stay cool by submerging in water. They emerge at dusk to graze.

Sand Cat

In today's puzzle we feature a cute sand cat. The sand cat, also known as the sand dune cat, inhabits sandy and stony deserts. It has been recorded in several locations in Niger, Morocco, Chad, Algeria, Egypt, the Middle East and the Arabian Peninsula. It usually rests in underground dens during the day and hunts at night. The sand cat is solitary and it prefers flat or undulating terrain with sparse vegetation of grasses or small bushes.

Goats are naturally curious and well known for their ability to climb and balance in precarious places. They are the only ruminant to regularly climb trees. Two Sleepy Penguins

The black tern is a small tern generally found in or near inland water in Europe, Western Asia and North America. Their breeding habitat is freshwater marshes across most of Canada, the northern United States and much of Europe and western Asia. This species is mostly white, with a reddish-pink face and forehead, and has a long, pale beak, which is used to dig for roots and seeds. It has reddish-pink feathers on the breast and belly.

Ponies are generally considered intelligent and friendly, but are also known to be stubborn and cunning. Compared to other horses, ponies often exhibit thick manes, tails and overall coat, as well as proportionally shorter legs.
