Roseate Spoonbill

The roseate spoonbill occurs in South America mostly east of the Andes, and in coastal regions of the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, and the Gulf Coast of the United States, and some parts of Florida. Like the American flamingo, their pink color is diet-derived. It feeds in shallow fresh or coastal waters by swinging its bill from side to side as it steadily walks through the water.

Cute British Shorthair Cat

In today's puzzle we feature a cute British shorthair cat. British shorthairs have a distinctively stocky body, dense coat, and broad face, a solid grey-blue coat, and a medium-sized tail. They are easygoing, sweet-natured and devoted to their owners.

Lady Amherst's Pheasant

The Lady Amherst's pheasant is native to southwestern China and far northern Myanmar, but has been introduced elsewhere. These colorful are very difficult to see in their natural habitat, which is dense, dark forests with thick undergrowth. They feed on the ground on grain, leaves and invertebrates, but sleep in trees at night.

Carolina Parrots

The cute parrots featured in today's puzzle were native to the eastern, Midwest and plains states of the United States. They are now extinct. These small green neotropical parrots with bright yellow heads, reddish orange faces and pale beak were one of only three parrot species native to the United States. They used to live in forests along rivers and in swamps.

Chimpanzee

The chimpanzee, also known as simply the chimp, is native to the forest and savannah of tropical Africa. It lives in groups that range in size from 15 to 150 members, although individuals travel and forage in much smaller groups during the day. The chimpanzee prefers fruit above all other food items but also eats leaves, leaf buds, seeds, blossoms, resin, bark, and stems.

Cute Lazy Cat

Although some might call them lazy, sleeping for long periods is something normal for cats. They usually rest between 12 and 16 hours a day and conserve energy by sleeping more than most animals, especially as they grow older. Cats have a tendency to fall asleep (lightly) for a brief period (this where the term "cat nap" comes from).

Frog

Frogs live in a variety of environments, ranging from the tropics to subarctic regions. They account for around 88% of extant amphibian species. Adult frogs live in fresh water and on dry land; some species are adapted for living underground or in trees. They come in a variety of colors ranging from well-camouflaged green, brown, and grey to vivid patterns of bright red or yellow and black. The African bush elephant inhabits forests, grasslands and woodlands, wetlands and agricultural land across 37 African countries (including Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Angola, Zambia, and Namibia). It is the largest living terrestrial animal. It is a herbivore, feeding on grasses, herbs, bark, and leaves.

Two Cute Alpacas

In this new puzzle feature two cute alpacas. The alpaca comes in two breeds, Suri and Huacaya. Huacaya alpacas are the most commonly found, constituting about 90% of the population. Alpacas are social herd animals that live in family groups, consisting of a territorial alpha male, females, and their young ones. They typically live in temperate conditions, in mountainous terrain and at high altitudes.

Lechwe Antelope

The beautiful antelope featured in today's puzzle, called the lechwe, red lechwe or southern lechwe, is found in wetlands of south central Africa. Lechwe are golden brown with white bellies, stand 90 to 100 cm (35 to 39 in) at the shoulder and weigh from 70 to 120 kg (150 to 260 lb). The long, spiral-structured horns are vaguely lyre-shaped, they are found only in males. They usually live in marshy areas where they eat aquatic plants.

Giant Anteater

The giant anteater, also known as the ant bear, is native to Central and South America. It's mostly terrestrial and lives and forages and various habitats, including rainforest, grasslands and open areas. As it's name implies it feeds primarily on ants and termites using it's long and sticky tongue to collect them. In today's puzzle we feature a mother giant anteater and it's baby. Mother anteaters carry their offspring on their backs until weaning them.
