Prairie Wolves

The coyote (also called prairie wolf and the brush wolf) is a species of canine native to North America. Primarily carnivorous, its diet consists mainly of deer, rabbits, hares, rodents, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates, though it may also eat fruits and vegetables on occasion. Their fur color is predominantly light gray and red or fulvous interspersed with black and white, though it varies somewhat with geography. Coyotes live either in a family unit or in loosely knit packs of unrelated individuals.

Ruppell's Griffon Vulture

In this new puzzle we feature a beautiful and impressive bird of prey, the Ruppell's griffon vulture. It is native to the Sahel region and East Africa and it was named after Eduard Ruppell - a German naturalist and explorer. Ruppell's vultures are very social, roosting, nesting, and gathering to feed in large flocks. The live in grasslands, mountains, woodlands and are considered to be the highest-flying bird, with confirmed evidence of a flight at an altitude of over 11000 m (37,000 ft).

Mouflons In The Snow

In today's wildlife themed puzzle we feature two mouflons, a male and a female, resting on some snow covered rocks. The mouflon occurs in southeastern Turkey, southern Armenia, southern Azerbaijan, northern Iraq, western southern and Iran. Is a wild sheep and it is thought to be the ancestor of all modern domestic sheep breeds. The horns of mature rams are curved in almost one full revolution. Some females are horned (like the one in this puzzle), while others are polled.

Sand Cat

In today's puzzle we feature a cute sand cat. The sand cat, also known as the sand dune cat, inhabits sandy and stony deserts. It has been recorded in several locations in Niger, Morocco, Chad, Algeria, Egypt, the Middle East and the Arabian Peninsula. It usually rests in underground dens during the day and hunts at night. The sand cat is solitary and it prefers flat or undulating terrain with sparse vegetation of grasses or small bushes.

Although sheep are frequently thought of as unintelligent animals, studies have shown that they are as intelligent as cattle. They can recognize individual human and animal faces and remember them for years.

Ponies are generally considered intelligent and friendly, but are also known to be stubborn and cunning. Compared to other horses, ponies often exhibit thick manes, tails and overall coat, as well as proportionally shorter legs.

Cute Red Pandas

In today's puzzle we feature two cute red pandas sitting in a tree. The red panda is largely arboreal and feeds mainly on bamboo shoots and leaves, but also fruits and blossoms. It inhabits coniferous and temperate broadleaf and mixed forests and favors steep slopes with dense bamboo cover. It is native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China. Despite it's name it is not related to the giant panda.

Cuban Crocodile

In this new puzzle we feature and impressive Cuban crocodile. If you didn't know, the Cuban crocodile can only be found in Cuba's Zapata Swamp and Isla de la Juventud, where it is highly endangered. Its preferred habitat comprises freshwater environments such as marshes and rivers. Its diet consist of fish, arthropods, crustaceans, small mammals, and turtles.

Feeding Pigeons In The Park

If you didn't know, feral pigeons are pigeons that are descended from the domestic pigeons that have returned to the wild. They are also called city doves, city pigeons, or street pigeons. They eat grass seeds and berries in parks and gardens, insects or scavenge food remains from people. Additional food is also usually available in parks and public squares where people feed them bird seeds or bread crumbs.

Lowland Gorillas

Lowland gorillas live in montane, primary and secondary forest and lowland swampland in central Africa. The lowland gorilla is the smallest subspecies of gorilla but still has exceptional size and strength. Gorillas live in groups of up to 30 individuals that are led by one or more adult males. As primarily herbivorous, the main diet of lowland gorilla groups is fruit, roots, shoots, wild celery, tree bark and pulp. Gorillas are considered highly intelligent.
