Eld's Deer

The Eld's deer, also known as the thamin or brow-antlered deer, is a species of deer endemic to South Asia. The deer are generally of medium size, they have a rough and coarse coat that change color with the season; in summer the color is reddish-brown, while in winter, it turns dark brown. Their diets comprise a variety of herbaceous plants, grasses, and shoots, fruit and wetland plants. The species is categorized as endangered.

Frog

In today's puzzle we feature a friendly frog resting by the water's edge. Frogs are widely distributed, ranging from the tropics to subarctic regions, but the greatest concentration of species diversity is in tropical rainforest. Their skin varies in color from well-camouflaged dappled brown, grey and green to vivid patterns of bright red or yellow and black. They live in fresh water and on dry land. Frogs are generally recognized as exceptional jumpers Different species of frog use a number of methods of moving around including jumping, swimming, running, walking, climbing, burrowing and gliding. Adult frogs generally have a carnivorous diet consisting of small invertebrates, but omnivorous species exist and a few feed on only on plant matter.

Lechwe Antelope

The beautiful antelope featured in today's puzzle, called the lechwe, red lechwe or southern lechwe, is found in wetlands of south central Africa. Lechwe are golden brown with white bellies, stand 90 to 100 cm (35 to 39 in) at the shoulder and weigh from 70 to 120 kg (150 to 260 lb). The long, spiral-structured horns are vaguely lyre-shaped, they are found only in males. They usually live in marshy areas where they eat aquatic plants.

Mother And Baby Hippo

In today's new puzzle we feature a mother hippo and it's cute baby. A mother hippopotamus typically gives birth to only one calf, although twins also occur. The young often rest on their mothers' backs when the water is too deep for them, and they swim under water to suckle.

Lowland Gorillas

Lowland gorillas live in montane, primary and secondary forest and lowland swampland in central Africa. The lowland gorilla is the smallest subspecies of gorilla but still has exceptional size and strength. Gorillas live in groups of up to 30 individuals that are led by one or more adult males. As primarily herbivorous, the main diet of lowland gorilla groups is fruit, roots, shoots, wild celery, tree bark and pulp. Gorillas are considered highly intelligent.

Cute Pigeons In The Park

In today's puzzle we feature two cute pigeons on a grassy meadow in the park. If you didn't know, the name pigeon comes from a French word that derives from the Latin pipio, for a "peeping" chick. Pigeons primarily feed on seeds, fruits, and plants. These birds have adapted to most of the habitats available on the planet. Various species inhabit urban and rural areas, savannas, grasslands, deserts, temperate woodlands and forests, and even remote atolls and islands in the middle of the ocean.

White Pekin Ducks

In today's puzzle we feature three cute pekin ducks playing around on the banks of a river. If you didn't known, the Pekin or White Pekin is a breed of domestic ducks. The Pekin is heavily feathered; the plumage is creamy white with a yellowish tinge. It has yellowish orange legs and feet. It's beak is short and also orange in color.

American Bison

The beautiful bison featured in today's puzzle is part of a species of bison that once roamed North America in vast herds. It nearly became extinct in the 19th century. Today wild bison live largely in a few national parks and reserves. Bison are herbivores, grazing on the grasses and sedges of the prairies. They are migratory and herd migrations can be directional as well as altitudinal in some areas. Female bison live in maternal herds which include other females and their offspring. Males live alone or join other males in bachelor herds.

Two Cute Alpacas

In this new puzzle feature two cute alpacas. The alpaca comes in two breeds, Suri and Huacaya. Huacaya alpacas are the most commonly found, constituting about 90% of the population. Alpacas are social herd animals that live in family groups, consisting of a territorial alpha male, females, and their young ones. They typically live in temperate conditions, in mountainous terrain and at high altitudes.

Cute Lazy Cat

Although some might call them lazy, sleeping for long periods is something normal for cats. They usually rest between 12 and 16 hours a day and conserve energy by sleeping more than most animals, especially as they grow older. Cats have a tendency to fall asleep (lightly) for a brief period (this where the term "cat nap" comes from).

Horses in a Meadow

This new puzzle is based on a painting by the French artist Edgar Degas, created around 1871-1872. The painting depicts some horses grazing in a green meadow. In the foreground we can see two horses, a brown and and a white one. In the background we can see some houses, a river with boats and more horses grazing on the green meadow.

Giant Anteater

The giant anteater, also known as the ant bear, is native to Central and South America. It's mostly terrestrial and lives and forages and various habitats, including rainforest, grasslands and open areas. As it's name implies it feeds primarily on ants and termites using it's long and sticky tongue to collect them. In today's puzzle we feature a mother giant anteater and it's baby. Mother anteaters carry their offspring on their backs until weaning them.
