African Bush Elephant

In today's puzzle we feature a beautiful African bush elephant. The African bush elephant inhabits forests, grasslands and woodlands, wetlands and agricultural land across 37 African countries (including Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Angola, Zambia, and Namibia). It is the largest living terrestrial animal. It is a herbivore, feeding on grasses, herbs, bark, and leaves.

Two Sleepy Penguins

The Lady Amherst's pheasant is native to southwestern China and far northern Myanmar, but has been introduced elsewhere. These colorful are very difficult to see in their natural habitat, which is dense, dark forests with thick undergrowth. They feed on the ground on grain, leaves and invertebrates, but sleep in trees at night.

Beautiful Wild Horse

In today's new puzzle we feature a beautiful wild horse. If you didn't know, the term "wild horse" is also used colloquially in reference to free-roaming herds of feral horses such as the mustang in the United States, the brumby in Australia, and many others. In general, wild horses are grazers that prefer to inhabit open areas, such as steppes and grasslands.

Zebras At The Waterhole

In this new puzzle we feature three zebras dinking at the waterhole on a hot summer day. If you didn't know, zebras inhabit eastern and southern Africa and can be found in a variety of habitats such as savannahs, grasslands, woodlands, shrublands and mountainous areas. There are three extant species: the Grévy's zebra (Equus grevyi), plains zebra (E. quagga) and the mountain zebra (E. zebra). Zebras are easily recognized by their bold black-and-white striping patterns. Striping patterns are unique to an individual.

Bridled Weasels

In this new puzzle we feature to cute bridled weasels playing on a log. The bridled weasel (long-tailed weasel or big stoat) is distinct from the short-tailed weasel, also known as a "stoat". The long-tailed weasel is one of the larger members of the genus Mustela in North America. It lives in ground burrows, under stumps or beneath rock piles. It usually does not dig its own burrows, but commonly uses abandoned chipmunk holes. The long-tailed weasel is a fearless and aggressive hunter which may attack animals far larger than itself. Its primary prey consists of mice, rats, squirrels, chipmunks, shrews, moles and rabbits. Occasionally, it may eat small birds, bird eggs, reptiles, amphibians, fish, earthworms and some insects.

Cuban Crocodile

In this new puzzle we feature and impressive Cuban crocodile. If you didn't know, the Cuban crocodile can only be found in Cuba's Zapata Swamp and Isla de la Juventud, where it is highly endangered. Its preferred habitat comprises freshwater environments such as marshes and rivers. Its diet consist of fish, arthropods, crustaceans, small mammals, and turtles.

Lechwe Antelope

The beautiful antelope featured in today's puzzle, called the lechwe, red lechwe or southern lechwe, is found in wetlands of south central Africa. Lechwe are golden brown with white bellies, stand 90 to 100 cm (35 to 39 in) at the shoulder and weigh from 70 to 120 kg (150 to 260 lb). The long, spiral-structured horns are vaguely lyre-shaped, they are found only in males. They usually live in marshy areas where they eat aquatic plants.

Pelican Flying

Pelicans are among the heaviest of flying birds. They use thermals for soaring to heights of 3000 m or more, combined both with gliding and with flapping flight in V formation, to travel distances of up to 150 km to feeding areas. Pelicans also fly low over stretches of water, using a phenomenon known as ground effect to reduce drag and increase lift. This helps them save substantial amounts of energy while flying.
