The Northern Hemisphere species of swan have pure white plumage but the Southern Hemisphere species are mixed black and white. The Australian black swan is completely black except for the white flight feathers on its wings; the chicks of black swans are light grey. The South American black-necked swan has a white body with a black neck.
The koala is an arboreal herbivorous marsupial native to Australia. The koala is found in coastal regions of eastern and southern Australia, from Adelaide to the southern part of Cape York Peninsula. Although the koala is not a bear, English-speaking settlers from the late 18th century first called it koala bear due to its similarity in appearance to bears.
Chinese Water Dragon
Also known as Asian water dragon, Thai water dragon, and green water dragon this species of agamid lizard is native to China and mainland Southeast Asia. Native to the lowland and highland forests of southern China and southeastern Asia, Chinese water dragons are most commonly found along the banks of freshwater lakes and streams. The diet of the water dragon consists mainly of insects, supplemented with an occasional small fish, mammal or reptile.
The garden snail or Helix Aspersa is a species of land snail, a pulmonate gastropod that is one of the best-known of all terrestrial molluscs. This species is native to the Mediterranean region and western Europe, from northwest Africa and Iberia east to Asia Minor, and north to the British Isles. The garden snail is a herbivore and has a wide range of host plants (It feeds on plants only). It feeds on numerous types of fruit trees, vegetable crops, garden flowers, and cereals. It is a food source for many other animals, including small mammals, many bird species, lizards, frogs, centipedes, predatory insects, and predatory terrestrial snails.

Happy Easter everyone! Today we feature a bowl of freshly colored eggs for Easter. Easter eggs, also called Paschal eggs, are decorated eggs that are often given to celebrate Easter. The oldest tradition is to use dyed and painted chicken eggs, but a modern custom is to substitute chocolate eggs, or plastic eggs filled with confectionery such as jelly beans. Eggs, in general, were a traditional symbol of fertility, and rebirth.
